Eye Tests
At SpecsPlus, an eye examination is much more involved than just reading some letters.
Our comprehensive eye exams check your general eye health in order to detect and diagnose more serious conditions that may affect your vision.
We identify general health conditions, provide referrals to eye surgeons (ophthalmologists) and help manage post eye surgery health.
What happens in an eye exam
We examine all parts of your vision and eye health. A full eye health examination includes:
- A thorough case history
- Ophthalmoscopy (Internal eye examination)
- Slit Lamp Biomicroscopy (External eye examination)
- Intraocular Pressure Testing
- Visual Accuity testing
- Binocular Vision
- Colour Vision
If we detect a problem
If we detect problems, we may recommend glasses, contact lenses, eye exercises, eye drops or even referral for eye surgery.
Many serious eye conditions don’t have obvious symptoms. Some eye diseases only show symptoms when the condition is advanced being difficult, or even impossible, to treat.
A comprehensive eye exam provides the full assurance of good vision and eye health that a quick vision check or vision screening cannot.
